Heston Blumenthal - In Search of Perfection - BBC2

*****

This second series by one of the world's most cutting edge chefs is as whacky and entertaining as the first but the chicken tikka masala did not impress

Gordon Ramsay Cookalong Live

*****

There was a big build up to this all week with reports of a run on frozen scallops and deliveries of 40KG of Kalamata Olives. The idea was that Gordon would cook some dishes live along with self-confessed incompetent and slob Chris Moyles and tons of...

Guerrilla Gourmet, Series 1 Episode 3, RTE

*****

After a not so good start to this series, I enjoyed this episode as it was less gimmicky, more food and chef focussed.

Hell's Kitchen USA Series 3

*****

Not enough cooking, too many stupid stunts. Ramsay's loud, brash bullying wearing thin.

Hell's Kitchen

*****

Guerrilla Gourmet (Ep 02)

*****

After the first travesty of an episode I swore I'd never watch another but the lure of Denis Cotter in Bandon was too much. This is Gimmicky Garbage TV with a half decent programme buried somewhere far far underneath. In the first episode...

Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA (Finn McCool's)

*****

This isn't a patch on the UK series mainly because they are desperate for conflict to improve the ratings. Having said that, this was a bloody good episode which warmed the cockles.

Nigella Express

*****

After the Christmas debacle I didn't think Nigella Lawson could sink any lower. I was wrong.

Jamie At Home

*****

More reasons to like a guy I previously could not abide. Some great veg recipes from his garden. Makes me feel bad for neglecting my own.
